How do I verify if a provider is HRDF registered?

Accepted Answer

You can verify registration status on the HRD Corp e-TRIS portal or ask the provider directly for their HRD Corp registration number. All providers in our directory are verified as registered.

What training courses are HRDF claimable?

Accepted Answer

Most professional development courses are claimable including leadership, management, technical skills, soft skills, digital marketing, cybersecurity, AI training, and industry-specific programs. The course must be conducted by a registered provider.

How much can I claim from HRDF per training?

Accepted Answer

Claim limits depend on delivery mode, and the basis differs. Under the January 2026 Allowable Cost Matrix, general in-house face-to-face training is claimable up to RM10,500 per day per group (RM6,000 per half day), while public classes are claimable up to RM1,750 per participant per day (RM1,000 per half day). In-house remote online learning is RM700 per participant per day and e-learning RM875 per participant per day. Focus-area, industry-specific and professional certification courses are claimable as per charged rather than at a flat cap. Use our HRDF Calculator for exact estimates.

Can SMEs claim HRDF training?

Yes, SMEs registered with HRD Corp can claim training costs. Companies with 5-9 employees can register voluntarily, while those with 10+ employees must register mandatorily.

What is the difference between HRDF and HRD Corp?

Accepted Answer

HRDF (Human Resources Development Fund) was rebranded to HRD Corp (Human Resource Development Corporation) in 2021. They are the same organization - many people still use 'HRDF' when searching.

How long does HRDF claim approval take?

Accepted Answer

Submit the grant application and get it approved before training starts. Effective 15 June 2026, in-house programmes can only be conducted 14 days after grant approval; public programmes 3 days after approval until 31 December 2026, reverting to 14 days from 1 January 2027. Claims must then be submitted within six (6) months of training completion, and HRD Corp states a complete claim is approved and paid within seven (7) working days.
